Volleyball Camp - Interview
What did you like the most about this camp?
I really enjoyed this camp because I played my favorite sport and I did exercise that is good for my health and I like that.
What did you like the least about it?
Tell us about your coaches. How were they? How much did you like them?
I really like them, they were SO cool, and they were very approachabe, and during the class they corrected us (like in our positions) and thell us how to do it correctly. And I have to tell you that my coach looks exactly like Michael Phelps and he is so funny!
Choose two of your classmates and tell us a couple of things about them. It can be something about them, or something they did during camp.
Well there are 2 girls that are unforgettable, the first one, Reya (Mireya) told us the worst Knock Knock jokes in the entire world!!! and the second one is Denise, and she threw up and the poor coaches had to clean up all the mess.
Would you recommend this camp to other kids?
Yes, I will recomend this camp to other kids that want to learn how to play volleyball in an easy way.
What would you change if you were in charge of the camp?
I would let the kids make their own team, have more challenges, and extend the camp for 1 more week.
Ingrid was really good, and each time she hit the ball, the group of parents that were watching clappend and exclaimed: GOOD JOB! NICE SHOT! and many other praises. I was the proud aunt, of course!
Athletic, cool, natural volley player AND pretty!!!
This girl has EVERYTHING!
:)
Coach: "I'm going to give a diploma to the girl who has travel the farthest to get to this camp. Maybe you don't know, but she's here for the summer, and she privileged us with her company and great sports ability." ( Guess who I'm talking about? anyone?)

Here's the recipe... you can half it if you don't want two large pans of pizza; otherwise, the recipe is as follows:
Add toppings Spray pan with cooking spray and form rounds or a sheet Oven set at 425 and bake for 18-20 minutes.

How did you like the people?
All the women were very nice to me and they like the fact that I come from Mexico.
What was your favorite thing of the day?
My favorite class was the Sushi class, because I learned how to cook a new dish. (:
Final thoughts about the Stop Motion class
In a few words describe how you feel about the finished product of your class, and also let us know about how the class could improve if you were the one responsible for it.
I finished the course with a good feeling all over, because all the guys in the class enjoyed our movie and I feel proud that I made that movie.
And if I could be the teacher I will put more attention on the behavior of the guys and teach more so I could be sure that the guys learn everything.
*Notes From The V:
I don't know about anybody else, but I think this is AMAZING! Ingrid didn't have the best environment because she was with younger kids who were a bit (*ahem!) challenging, a not very cooperative partner, AND it was hot and stuffy in the room. Still, she managed to produce MOVIES! in ONE WEEK! I'm sorry, I just need to say that this girl is AWESOME!Friday, July 9, 2010
Interview about Stop Motion Week
What are your expectations of this course?
My expectation for the Stop Motion course is to learn about how to create movies with this technology; after I finish this experience I could show my movie and what I learned in this class to may friends and family.
What did you feel like BEFORE you went into the class?
I was kind of nervous because I didn't know anybody, and I was excited at the same time because I'll do something I always wanted to do.
Tell us about your class, classmates and teacher.
My class was kind of WEIRD because there were 3 little boys, 3 guys that looked like 11 or 12 years old (but they acted like if they were 7 or 8, so I really don't like those guys) and one girl and me, so I felt kind of uncomfortable buecause I looked like the older in the class.
Let me talk about the guys behavior: they were torturing each other becuse they didn't stop hitting each other and they played games for boys 8 years or younger. The girl was a DARK girl: she was dressed with black clothes and with a beret with thumbtacks, and she did't talk as much as I would have wanted.
Finally, the teacher: she was an African American woman with very curly hair and she was really nice. She spent all the class sending text messages.

What do you expect will happen tomorrow?
My expectations for tomorrow are: start making our movies with the stop motion, I wish the girl speaks more than today, and the guys have a better behavior.
You wanted to learn to create movies with this technology. Have you learned about it? Can you explain how it works?
Yes, I have learned some things, for example: you have to move your character in short steps and take the photo, then do it again and again, because if you move it in big steps you can't appreciate the movie.
Do you remember the names of your classmates and your teacher?
No I don't think I remember all the guys names but the teacher name is Kathrina and the DARK girl's name is Katerina.
Now that you know them a little bit more, what can you tell us about your classmates? Are they still giving you the same impression they gave you the first day?
Yes, they are still giving me the same impression as the first day because they are still doing the same things all the time and they laugh about silly things.
What did you do today in the class? (Wednesday) What will you do on Tuesday and Friday?
I finished filming and tomorrow I'll edit and I don't know what we are going to do.
What about at home. Do you feel happy with us (Alfredo, the dogs and I?)
I feel very comfortable and happy here with you guys; I like that you're always laughing about everythig. It's fun being here.
How do you feel when we speak English? Is it hard? Does it make you feel weird?
I felt kinda weird at the beginning, but then I get use to speak in English and it's really easy.
*Comments from The V:
This course was held at San Felipe Community Center. It is a park, and it has a building where the indoors classes take place. Here are some pictures:
